Getting Started with Atheer Lens on Realwear

Introduction

This article will step you through the process of registering your Realwear HMT-1 or HMT-1Z1 head-mounted display to the Atheer Lens app. There's a demo video at the end of the article to show you the steps in action.

Sign in and download the Realwear Glass application.

Connect your Realwear HTM-1 to your desktop or laptop computer.
From a browser on your computer, open your Atheer Studio workspace, and log in using your assigned credentials.
From the browser, click on your user profile icon in the lower left corner of the webpage, and select the Download Apps menu.
On the Apps Download webpage, in the Glass tile, select the Download from Atheer button.
You will be prompted for a location to save your APK file on your computer. Click Save.
Connect your Realwear headset to your computer and open the Realwear Explorer on your computer. Your headset should connect.
Drag the .apk file from your computer desktop, and drop it onto the DRAG AND DROP APKS HERE button at the top right corner of the page.
Once the installation of the .APK file is completed, click the OK button in the installation result pop-up.

Registering your Account on Atheer Lens on a Realwear HMT-1 and HMT-1Z1

In the Realwear device, open “My Programs” then issue the voice command, “Atheer Lens.” You can also say “Select Item X,” (where “X” equals the corresponding number assigned to the Atheer Lens App).
You will be prompted by the app to access internal systems of the HMT-1. Say “Allow” to enable that access when prompted.
You will now be prompted to register yourself as a user on the HMT-1. Say, “Register User,” to select the Register User button.
You’ll now be prompted to scan a QR code to register yourself as an Atheer user on the HMT-1.
Return to Atheer Studio on your computer’s web browser, and click your user profile icon in the lower left-hand corner of your screen. Select the Link Your Device menu.
You will be presented with a temporary, secure QR Code on your browser screen that can be scanned on the HMT-1 to allow you to login.

NOTE: You can also follow similar steps to Steps 5 and 6 above using the Atheer Lens mobile phone or tablet app to see the temporary, secure QR Code.
Switch back to your HMT-1, point the HMT-1 camera at the QR Code, and you will see a screen on the HMT-1 for entering a new passcode. Say the numbers you would like to use in the 4-digit passcode, and then say, “Enter.”
For security purposes, you cannot say your 4-digit pass code aloud. On the registration page, you will need to enter in the same 4-digit code twice, but you will need to use the “Select Item X” voice command (where “X” is the number of the item that you wish to select).

For example, using the image below, if your passcode was 1234, you would say, “Select Item 4, Select item 5. Select item 3. Select item 2.”
You are now ready to start working with the Atheer Lens Mobile App on your Realwear HMT-1.
